How do you file?

If you are married and file one return together, that is “married filing jointly”. Not sure? Pick what you did last year.

Where did you live last year?

We prepare Arizona returns. If you lived somewhere else, say so and a preparer will follow up.

Did you live or work in more than one state last year?

Moving between states, or working across a state line, makes a return more complicated.

Standard deduction, or do you itemize?

Most people take the standard deduction, which is the simpler option. Itemizing is usually only worth it if you own a home or give a lot to charity. If you are not sure, pick “Not sure yet” and we will work it out for you.

Do any of these apply to you?
